Welcome to The Daily Practice Space and 9 Steps to Nourish Your Hungry Soul

My intention was to create a place to catch your breath, rest, reset, and gain perspective and strength for what is ahead. You have just acknowledged that you might be stuck, or have just lived through something very personal and very transformational and you may still be figuring out where you are and what you have just survived and might still be experiencing or grieving.

I like to think of these places as a place in-between; between what was and what will be. And here, you are supported to identify just where you are and how you are doing.

If you are like those of us just ahead of you, we all have walked paths that take us places - some fun and easy and some challenging and hard. No matter which path you have walked, know that it is ok to take a pause and really figure things out. We don’t have to make a big deal of it, AND, we also don’t want to ignore what is happening or how you are feeling.

So in order to get going again or just remind yourself who you are and look after yourself a bit, here are 9 tips to help you re-start your daily practice routine:

  1. Begin a gratitude practice - Have you ever tried a gratitude practice? There are several ways to do this from the very simple act of naming three things while still in bed or in the shower of things you are grateful for. This simple act helps you cultivate a more positive mindset, help you focus on the things that are working in your life, and even can help you realize the little things that help shift your mindset, even in a season of sadness - a beautiful sunrise, your morning coffee or tea, waking up this morning. a beautiful sunrise, your morning coffee or tea, waking up this morning.
  1. Daily writing -  A practice of writing daily is a simple, but not necessarily easy way of bringing your attention to this present moment. It can help you review in your head what is going on around you and help you shift perceptions and your awareness and helps bring out your creativity. Give it a try for a week and see how it feels. I follow Julia Cameron’s Morning Pages, which is 3 pages of writing, and if this is something new for you, give yourself permission to start with one.
  1. Put your focus on Wellness - from the food you put into your body to physical movement, to the social media you allow in, considering your body your sacred temple and the only container for your soul in this lifetime, how do you want to honor it? Make the appointment, call in the expert, eliminate sugar and processed foods. Basics. And...Drink more water.
  2. Identifying a personal development goal to consciously focus on - I am not into resolution setting as it is almost a guarantee fail and then shaming/guilting exercise and we want none of that here. Set
  3. Clarifying your values. Nothing makes decisions easier to make than know what your compass points are. Need help with this. Visit the website and download your free Values guide and self-guided process.
  4. Consciously choose how you want to BE each day! This is something that we all have control of and the more we can respond rather than react to stimuli, the better we will feel.
  5. Notice the quality of your relationships and consider which ones are energizing and which ones draining. What can be done about the draining ones and how can you increase the amount of time spent with those who energize you.
  6. Take an inventory of your local environment - your home, office, the places you spend a lot of time. What needs to go, change, or stay the same. Surrounding yourself in a minimalist environment, with  only things you love is very important to set you up for a growth mindset. Clarity means focus and focus can set you up well for growth.
  7. Take a good look at your daily habits and routines and keep only those that move you forward. Let the others go. Commit to it and do it.

...you can create a life that fits with your values, supports your quest for autonomy, resilience, and the ability to direct your own life. We believe you have all the answers to your questions inside, and might just need a strategic thinking partner to help you find the best route forward to the visions and goals you hold. Whether it is career-related or more lifestyle, you can make and sustain the changes you desire to create the life you dream about. You have a growth mindset - I can tell because you are here - thriving instead of settling, and we are all for that.

Welcome to our Space and I hope you feel like you are home.

With love,
